Shandi Owens
I believe creativity has the power to bring us home to ourselves.
Clay Rose Pottery was created from a desire to unite ceramics, flowers, ritual, creativity, community, and healing into one meaningful place where people can slow down, create, and reconnect.
What began in 2020 as Femme Flora Therapy—a personal exploration of flowers, feminine embodiment, and ritual—naturally evolved as I fell in love with clay. I discovered that ceramics held the same quiet power to transform us, and before long, flowers and clay became inseparable within my creative practice.
Today, Clay Rose Pottery is a contemporary studio of ritual arts where ceramics, floral design, flower therapy, incense making, and creative education come together under one roof.
Alongside my artistic practice, I studied anatomy, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, botanical symbolism, feminine archetypes, and energy healing. My work as a phlebotomist, including caring for psychiatric patients, deepened my understanding that healing happens not only through medicine, but also through beauty, creativity, ritual, nature, and human connection.
Although Clay Rose Pottery welcomes everyone, my heart has always been deeply devoted to women’s healing. Many of my offerings are created to support women through flower therapy, retreats, creative workshops, women’s circles, and archetypal exploration. I believe there is something profoundly healing about women gathering around a table, working with their hands, sharing stories, and creating beauty together.
My ceramic work explores the female body as both vessel and landscape—a sacred container of memory, transformation, resilience, and rebirth. The rose appears throughout my work as a symbol of softness, sensuality, protection, and becoming.
More than a pottery studio, Clay Rose Pottery exists to create meaningful experiences where creativity becomes ritual, ordinary objects become sacred, and people leave feeling more grounded, inspired, and connected than when they arrived.
